The most common mistake brides make with their wedding flowers happens the morning after the wedding. They wake up, look at their stunning, expensive bouquet, and suddenly decide they want to keep it forever.
While we can occasionally accommodate last-minute local drop-offs at our New Jersey studio, waiting until after the wedding to figure out your preservation strategy often leads to wilted, bruised flowers or entirely sold-out preservation studios.
Here is exactly when you should book your bouquet preservation and why securing your spot early is the most important step in the process.
The Micro-Layering Process Requires Time and Space
Professional resin floral preservation is not a fast process. To create crystal-clear, bubble-free Hexagon and Square Resin Blocks, our preservationists pour museum-grade resin in microscopic layers over several weeks.
This meticulous process ensures your delicate petals do not burn or lose their color during curing. However, it also means that our studio has a strict physical limit on how many bouquets we can process at one time. Once our drying racks and curing stations are full for a specific month, we have to close our books.
Book 3 to 6 Months Before the Wedding
To guarantee your spot, you should book your preservation 3 to 6 months before your wedding date.
Spring and Fall are the peak wedding seasons in the NJ and NYC areas. If your wedding falls between May and June, or September and October, our calendar reaches capacity incredibly fast. Booking early removes the post-wedding stress and guarantees that our team is expecting your fresh flowers immediately after your reception.
You Do Not Need to Choose Your Final Items Today
One of the biggest reasons brides delay booking is because they are not sure what they want. You might be torn between a primary display block and our Functional Resin Keepsakes, like the floral jewelry box or serving tray.
You do not need to make those design decisions before the wedding.
The only thing you need to do today is secure your space in our drying studio. By placing a Studio Deposit, your spot is officially locked in. Once your wedding is over and your flowers are safely drying in our facility, our design team will walk you through the catalog to choose your final heirloom pieces.
What If My Wedding Already Happened?
If your wedding was this weekend and you are located in the Tri-State area, there is still hope. We hold a very small buffer of emergency spots for local drop-offs at our Jersey City studio.
Keep the stems of your bouquet submerged in fresh water, keep the petals away from direct sunlight or extreme AC, and immediately secure your Studio Deposit online.
